Shawty Lo Just Will NOT Quit…

25 11 2008

Peeped this on XXL.  Check it out…Shawty Lo need to chill.

Shawty Lo’s innocent. As previously reported, members of T.I. and Lo’s crews got into an altercation during Radio One’s Fourth Annual Dirty Awards in Atlanta last night (11/25).

Early reports say the fight started when Lo taunted Grand Hustle with his own version of Yung L.A.’s “Ain’t I.” But to let the Bankhead rapper tell it, he didn’t instigate anything.

“I didn’t go and start nothing. If they rewind the cameras, they’ll see how it started,” Lo told MTV. “I’m a man. I respect every man as a man. If a man disrespects me, what am I supposed to do? T.I. needs to contain his people. We’re not standing down. I performed my music; 107.9 [one of the show’s organizers] called me to perform. I didn’t come to start no beef with him. I gave Tip a shout out at the BET [Hip-Hop] Awards.”

Lo actually claims Tips’ camp started the fight. He tells MTV Alfamega and other Grand Hustle artists approached the stage and started ice grilling during his performance.

“Basically, I didn’t start saying anything about Tip,” Lo explained. “I was performing my music. During ‘Foolish,’ all of them was coming in front of the stage doing their mugging. After ‘Dunn, Dunn,’ I performed the dis record ‘Don’t I.’ That’s what made me perform the diss record. I ain’t gonna lie; they was disrespecting me. I wasn’t gonna let them disrespect me.”

Lo fittingly bumped into T.I. when his D4L crew was taken backstage minutes after the melee. The two briefly spoke in a private meeting, in which Tip apparently suggested they end their feud once and for all.

“He told me the beef was over with,” Lo told MTV. “I said, ‘If the beef was let go, me and you have to publicize it. We have to do it together.’ He agreed to do that, and we shook hands in the back room.”

Lo claims Tip then accepted an award on stage before taunting, “if somebody’s got a problem with me, do something better than me.” He then began performing “Ain’t I” with Yung L.A., sparking another altercation between the two crews. Tip wasn’t involved in any of the fights. Lo says he’s still willing to squash the beef, isn’t sure T.I.’s on the same page.

“[Me and Tip’s conversation] ended on a positive note with the conversation,” Lo said. “I don’t know where he is [with the beef]. I guess he just be talking. One thing about it, Shawty Lo ain’t no punk. T.I. is just a rapper. He knows how to read a book good. Where I live is for real. I ain’t got nothing against homes. He’s got family, I got family. I’m not trying to kill him, he’s not trying to kill me. I got fans that love me. He’s not not gonna run all over me. I ain’t Lil’ Flip.”

T.I. and Shawty Lo End Beef…Shawty Lo Gives Up!

11 09 2008

4:30 into the clip Shawty L-O says “the beef is dead”.  Bout fucking time caz T.I. waxed this nigga.  I wonder who waved the flag.  My thought is Lo’s people got at TIP’s people and Lo called Tip and Tip said it’s cool homie.  I think TIP knows Lo’s true colors as us al should.  Lo just wanted attention and he got it.  T.I. stomped him, and now nobody likes him.  So, he ended the beef.  Duh!

Soulja Boy Comes Back!!!! Well He Explains Himself…

26 06 2008

I’ve been sitting back watching this Soulja Boy/Ice-T bullshit and really marking both sides points and moving on. Personally I think the whole thing is a load of crap with a couple of diamonds in between.  First off, Soulja Boy is a horrible rapper.  However, his model of success should be studied.  No one is breaking records the old way anymore.  The physical way of breaking a record now is by infiltrating all the forms of media, not just walking the streets.  Your presence has to be felt everywhere and you have to connect with your audience.  Soulja Boy has found a way to connect with his and he’s doing his thang!  Instead of calling him out, and telling someone who could be his son to EAT A DICK, Ice should have been focusing.  He apologized, ok cool.  Lil Soulja should have just kept it at that, but the young boy has grown nuts and came back.  I’m not hating, I just believe that he should have kept it at the come back video.  But, let me clarify myself.  Soulja Boy is a horrible rapper.  He single handedly made me stop liking “My Dougie” when I heard him on the remix.  I hope he evolves (seriously).  Ice needs to get over himself and be Ice.  Rap, pimp and play a cop on TV.  You opened up doors for us man.  I appreciate you!  Do you, this rap beef shit is corny now.

Here’s the news

(HipHopDx)

Although many view Soulja Boy as a kid who made up a silly dance and got famous, the young artist has been doing a lot in the time between albums. He’s been producing, rhyming, collaborating and battling with Ice-T. Recently, he spoke on all the hoopla surrounding him.

“I’m sitting back in the cut. While I stop working, I’m still working,” he recently told MTV of his production. He’s cut tracks for himself, his protege and Bow Wow.

While he stays behind boards, he’s also got help from other producers for his upcoming album iSouljaBoy, something that didn’t happen on the first.

“The album is gonna be crazy. I got more features on there. The first album, I produced the whole album; second album I’m looking to work with different producers such as Polow Da Don. I might collab with artists such as Bow Wow andSean Kingston.”

For those who aren’t privy to the beef brewing between
Soulja and Ice-T, a war of words has started. First, Ice claimed Soulja Boy ruined the culture and that the young man could “eat a dick.” Mr. Crank Dat came back with a video dis, laughing about Ice-T‘s age, his acting and relevancy [click to read].

Ice later released his own clip, where he apologized…sort of.

“I apologize Soulja Boy for telling you to eat a d*ck. That was just in anger. Because truthfully, a brother of my caliber shouldn’t be talking down on a youngster of your age,” Ice-T explained. “But as far as your music goes… it’s garbage! There are kids that go in the studio and really try to rap. That really sit down and write stuff. I’m talking about you are garbage! We got to get rid of that, man. Hip Hop has to last and it ain’t gonna last with you doing that Supaman bullshit.”

Soulja Boy retaliated with an animated video. As he put it, he is unafraid to go up against the O.G.

“I ain’t sugar-coat nothing. I ain’t back down. I ain’t scared of dude or nothing like that. I just told him how I felt when he spoke on me. This ain’t no beef or drama. I’m 17 years old and he’s I-don’t-know-how-old. I was defending myself.”

His new LP
iSouljaBoy is set to be released in the Fall of 2008.

50 Cent Tells His Side in the Young Buck Fiasco

23 06 2008

hmmmm interesting…

My 50 Cent Fanhood is Officially Over…

19 06 2008

I never really liked Game, but when my nigga BUCK got “kicked out” of G-Unit I was hurt.  Buck was my nigga.  I bought both albums, listened to his mixtape shit and more recently became a fan of the music he was puttin out lately, especially the Phil Collins sampled “New York City”, Kill Me a Nigga, and I’m Out Here.  Buck was doing his thang I thought.  Even as an investment (thinking like 50 now) Buck was the shit!  He had his label, beginning to cascade his income with the Outlawz, C-Bo and the Cashville thing.  Then comes the Buck being kicked from the Unit.  WTF?! Yayo talking dumb shit, Banks being silent about everything.  Yayo pissed me off the most talking so reckless about this nigga and BUCK never did anything to that nigga!  NOT EVEN 50!  NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT SHIT!  That was the beginning of the end of my 50 Cent fanhood.  The aftermath that ensued with 50 doing interviews saying Buck was on cocaine and unstable was like, BRA WHY YOU PUTTIN HIS BUSINESS OUT LIKE DAT?  You dry-blackballing this nigga.  YOU ON NATIONAL MEDIA SAYING A PLATINUM PLUS ARTIST IS HITTING ROCK BOTTOM, ON DRUGS AND UNSTABLE at a time when white people are looking for any type of reason to stop and shut hip-hop down.  Every promoter that was interested in booking YB now is looking at him like a liability instead of a good investment.  Then BUCK  comes out and makes an incredible song (in my opinion) and genius responding to the rumors as something he’s going through and going to triumph over.  The comes the FUCK G-UNIT video.  I knew 50 was going to say something with TOS being two weeks away and how he thrives off of FREE MARKETING.  But, what transpired was the lowest thing I’ve seen since man I don’t even know WOW.  It was that bad.  50 recorded and released a taped conversation of BUCK at his lowest moment tagging it with THIS IS 50.COM tags!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? This man is crying and spilling his guts and you get a kick out of kicking him when he’s down.  FUCK NO!  I’m glad BUCK aired his bitch ass out.  His song “Taped Conversation” drills 50 and is brilliant again (as far as I’m concerned).  Buck’s not stupid neither is 50, but this bullshit that 50 thinks that he has planned out is BULLSHIT as well.  50 WANTS you to believe that everything he plans is thought out and that he ALWAYS knows what’s coming.  NEWSFLASH!  He doesn’t.  He thought by airing that conversation, niggaz would see HIS point and see that BUCK is unstable and justifying him tossing him from the group.  He was looking for credibility because he felt that people weren’t believing him anymore.  He felt like he was losing his dictatorship powers in hip-hop.  He felt that by hearing this tape YOU would side with him.  He thought this was cool.  50 is slime.  He felt played so he played BUCK.  WHAT AN ASS!  This isn’t coming from a 50 hater, GAME STAN (who is also a bitch) or any other non 50 Cent fan.  From 2003-2008 I was the BIGGEST fan of 50 Cent.  No matter how much people hated on him I still stood firm.  I still supported every UNIT released.  In music business terms, I was a true maven.  I advocated everything G-UNIT.  As an artist I even incorporated G-Unit in my music.  I did 50 Cent remixes on my cd’s!!!!!  I admired 50’s business sense and intelligence.  i admired his hungry arrogance.  I admired his passion for what he did and his business model.  I admired the man.  Now I despise the man.  And, yes it hurts because 50 was my favorite rapper and I want so much for this shit to be patched up and everybody can get back cracking but I know that CURTIS JACKSON is to prideful to do that.  BUT, PRIDE COMES BEFORE THE DOWNFALL!!!!  I believe TOS will flop even though it had some nice records on there but this is too much bad press!!!  Bra, 50 is just OMG such a bitch nigga….wait wait, bith ass nigga!  Anything for press.  I admire BUCK for waiting this long before putting his record out, and I felt that shit.  I hope that CURTIS hits rock bottom, and has to crawl up out of a ditch like a real nigga.  I want to see that hungry, out to get it, nothing is going to stop me, real ass nigga that I thought 50 Cent was and what he meant to me but FUCK….I Doubt it…I guess I’ll just pop in my Carter III and continue to make moves on my end.
